I am having errors on my RAID5 configured pegasus2 and the drive is VERY slow to display the folders.

Drive3 is showing minor errors and command timing out, physical disk keeps resetting.

I have a drive to replace PD3 but I am unsure how to because the drive isnt showing DEAD.

Is there documentation on youtube or another place on how to walk me through replacing a drive that doesnt show dead... yet

see attached error log

NEW ISSUE: THe pegasus now shows a red LED on the drive 3 but orange on the power LED. THe unit wont boot now and I cant use the promise utility

Hi Larry,

You don't have to wait for the drive to fail to replace it.

I would suggest hot-unplugging it, that is, remove the drive while the Pegasus is running, this way it will be marked dead.

Then replace the drive and start a rebuild. We have a Knowledge Base article for this.

Thank you RP.

THat knowledge base "how to" is perfect. THe owners manual "how to" sucks.

You made life a lot easier for me today.
