Hi,

I have a Pegasus2R8 on a Mac Mini I've been using since late 2016.

I see the firmware available on the website is dated mid-2017. On download the image says the version is 504000061.

But what I have running is 5.04.0000.61. Since  have't upgraded my firmware since getting it, I'm trying to figure out how that's possible. Does promise update img files without incrementing the verison?

Also, I updated the Promise Utility and the OS (from 10.11 to 10.12). Is there any point in updating the driver? I occasionally get files not releasing locks (on a RAID 1+0) and I'm grasping at straws trying to find the cause. The app isn't prompting me .. I just saw it on the download page.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

5.04.0000.61 is the latest version of firmware, however, there is the procedure for updating the firmware if the unit is running with an older version of firmware.  You can also find an older version of firmware on our Promise website, however, I would request you to register the product under support.promise.com and create a support ticket with latest subsystem report so that our tech support can guide you to update the firmware based on your current firmware version.

Please go to the below link to download the latest version of the utility.

https://promise.com/DownloadFile.aspx?DownloadFileUID=4617

Follow the below step to save the subsystem report and attach the report to this email and reply back for further investigation.

- Open Promise Utility.
- Click subsystem information icon on the top of the window.
- Click the lock symbol on the left bottom corner of the screen to unlock the utility.
- Click on save service report button to save the subsystem report.

Regards
Dev
