Pegais 2-4x2TB dosks. I have just replaced a drive that died and am working through the rebuild pricedure on the Promise Utility. It stops with the warning "Failed to start rebuild: all the logical drive on the array are eitehr offline or online" (attached)
The Mac Disk Utility will not bring it online.
OK, I think the reason my RAID5 array was offline, and therefore not on my desktop, was that I had set the replacement disk to Unconfigured and restarted the computer. When I changed it back to Passthrough, the disk appeared on my desktop. I was then able to change it back to Unconfigured and begin the Rebuild process. At the speed it is going it might take all day. Fingers crossed.
