I have the VessJBOD 1830 and the VessRAID 1830 ,

the VessJBOD 1830 does not want to load, the ping appears for 15 seconds during loading

Warning: Detected BAD NVRAM Signature

Error read version from NAND flash failed

NAND flash ID = ad f1 00 1d

How to restore/reset/upgrade firmware?

Thanks!

Hi Sergey,

It looks like the boot drive has gone bad.

Unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done about this.

The drives from the JBOD can be moved to the raidhead for data recovery.

happiness didn't last long

in addition:

after removing the disks
I was able to get into webpam and even re-create arrays, update firmware and reboot several times.

there was some minor error

*** Special RedBoot Ver 3.04.0000.00 ***
+Wrong VPD Checksum
Found Backplane VPD error!
NAND flash ID = ad f1 00 1d

but when I assembled the Windows SOFS Cluster and started testing it, after the next reboot of vessjbod, the error again and the loading refused. Diag with NVRAM Memory Test not successful

Hi Sergey,

Looks like there is more than a controller issue...

+Wrong VPD Checksum: Found Backplane VPD error!

The chassis backplane is bad.

Sorry.
