Hello,

I just bought and received a refurbished Pegasus R6 - directly from Promise

It came without drives, so I used the drives from my ond Pegasus 2 R6, after erasing them with Mac Disk Utility.

They have all been inserted and all of the lights are blue.  All of the physical drives show up appropriately in Promise Utility.

When I go to set their configuration status to "Unconfigured", I am unable to click EITHER unconfigured or Passthru.

The lock in the lower left hand corner is open.

I am using Promise Utility 4.06.0000.01 (C02).

I am completely flumoxed. Any assistance woudl be much appreciated.

Also, I plugged it in and the Mac said that the device could not be read and asked if I wanted to initialize it. Thought about it and opend the disk utility, but the drive doesn't show up.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jon,

It's not clear what you did, but Disk Utility probably won't be able to erase the metadata from a RAID set. Most likely the original RAID is still there.

Check the Array tab on Promise Utility and if there is an array present delete it, then your disks will be unconfigured.

Thanks, RP.

Done, and hoping it's building the Disk Array now.

Hi Claudio,

The Promise Utility wizard, it's the top left button, make sure you unlock the app first.
