Hi

I have a pegasus2 R4 connected on my new iMac using the apple TB3 to TB2 adapter. It works perfect

I am considering to get the pegasus3 R4, for direct TB3 connection. can I take the trays from the pegasus2 and put them into the pegasus3, in same sequence and retain data?

if yes, is it possible to buy an 'emty' pegasus3??? (I live in Denmark and purchased the pegasus2 unit from Apple)

or would I need to copy data only after setting up the raid on the pegasus3?

if the trays does not fit coud I move the disks instead?

kind regards

Palle

Yes, you'll want to transport the array so it can be used on another subsystem.

The easiest solution is to just turn off the Pegasus and move the drives to the new Pegasus unit (make sure both units are off). After moving the drives over to the new unit, you can power it on and the array and LD will be seen on the host.
