Hi,
My Pegasus2 R6 cannot be fixed and I am simply wondering if I can take all the hard disk drives from the faulty unit into a new, working R6 to recover the data?
Thanks to anyone in advance who can provide an answer!

Hi Nick,

The answer is yes. You can move the drives to another Pegasus and you should be able to access the data on them. This assumes that there is nothing wrong with the drives.
Thanks a lot R P – I will try this then.
Hoping the hdd are still ok.
Best

Hi Nick,
Please be sure to power off the Pegasus before removing the drives.
OK R P
The replacement Pegasus2 R6 should arrive soon now... I just want to make sure on how to proceed:
1/ Power off both R6
2/ Take out the HDDs from the old R6
3/ Replace them in the same order into the new R6
4/ Plug it back into the Mac
5/ Power on the new R6
If the drives are all OK it should work, right?
Best,
N.
Hi Nick,
That should work assuming the replacement chasis is good.
Thanks a lot
Will report back!
Received the Pegasus R6 and transferred all the HDDs. It works perfectly!
