Hi there,

I’m an editor and have a Pegasus3 R4 and was hoping to increase the capacity as we are now shooting a lot more 4K vision. Is it possible to put 4 x Seagate IronWolf NAS 12TB 3.5 inch SATA HDD, ST12000VN0008 hardives into the unit and run as a RAID5 configuration? Or an equivalent Toshiba brand drive?

Regards Sally

You can add large capacity drives into the unit and run as a RAID 5 configuration. The drives aformentioned may work or not but they have not been tested

Below are the following drives that have been tested with Pegasus3 for 16TB drives. You can purchase any of these models

1. Vendor: Toshiba

    Series: MN

   Model: MN07ACA12T

  Capacity: 12TB

2. Vendor: Toshiba

    Series: MG07ACA

    Model: MG07ACA12TE

    Capacity: 12TB

3.  Vendor: WD

    Series: ULTRASTAR DC HC520

   Model: HUH721212ALE604

    Capacity: 12TB
