I just got a Pegasus R6 with 4TB HDDs installed. Now I see the is a build to order option on the website. One of the options is SSDs over HDDs.  I'm curious which SSDs they are using, and can I install and configure it myself with SSDs?

Thanks for any insight.

Hi Mark,

Yes, you can replace all the existing HDD's with SSD's. After relacing the drive, you have to create a new disk array and logical drive to reconfigure the unit.

Kindly go to the link below to download the compatibility list.

Hi Mark,

Currently custom order Pegasus units with SSDs ship with Micron SSDs. But this might change in the tuture as we use various brands depending on availability, pricing, and performance.
