Can I increase capacity by inserting larger drive

Hi,

I've got a pegasus 2 R6 with 2tb drives.  It's configured as RAID 5 (1 disc can fail.)  Can I pull a 2tb drive and insert a 4tb drive to increase capacity?  I assume that I'd have to let the unit recover after each drive is replaced before I replaced a second 2tb drive.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

You cannot replace one drive a time and rebuild the RAID to achieve higher capactity. You have to backup the data and replace all the drives at once.

Kindly refer the below link for more details.

Thanks !
