My Apollo Cloud worked always well, speed was acceptable in my network.

After the recent updates of macOS (Catalina) I had to rest my Apollo Cloud because it would connect and work as Time Machine drive anymore.

Now it connects again, can be used as Time Machine drive as before but is extremly slow!  The TM backups would take 12-18hours for 100GB!!    Something most be wrong!

Hints?

Hi Ludi,

Please let us know the Firmware and the Apollo Utility Version.

Also, please be informed that the Time Machine back up depends on the speed of the Internet and the Hard drive size. Its quite normal that the first backup takes a long time. Subsequent backups will be faster .

Let us know if its working normally now . If not, please open a case @ https://support.promise.com/ .

We will help you.

Thanks !

So what these Apollo guys never told us was that they upload and copy all our data. There is no reason and it certainly isn't on the box that internet speed would be of any factor at all.

The only reason for this is if all your data is being uploaded to Promise.
My 7year old Apple Timecapsule 2TB works faster than this junk. Its been 2.5 days waiting for a new 430GB first backup to complete.
Garbage.
