I have an R4 and its been great for a while. I had a power outtage recently, and now when I turn it on, it starts up but then before anything mounts, it powers off.

This is a Pegasus 2 R4.

• Press power on

• The power light stays yellow while it starts up

• After a few seconds, then turns blue

• After 2 seconds of being blue, the light turns red, then powers off.

Suggestions?

Hi Jeff,

Could you please make sure that the thunderbolt cable is properly connected between the Pegasus2 unit and to the computer. If the cables are not properly connected, the unit will be automatcially turned off in 30 seconds. If the problem persists, could you please try with a known working cable to see how it works.

Thank you. I work in this business and was afraid my unit had failed. You are right, the cable on the back of my mack looked attached but had pulled out a bit and as soon as I pushed it in, the disk woke up and mounted.
