Just bought a bunch of SAS HUH721010AL5200 to put into one of my empty J830 expansion chassis.  I upgraded the firmware to SR6.2 on the E830 head.

Drives do not spin up and aren't seen in the webmagner.  i.e no lights on drives, but chassis has lights and is seen in webmanager.

Why???  The drive is listed in the compatability list?  I have A LOT of money invested in this product and now even more with new hdds.  Not happ, what is the fix????

You can check with online retailer or contact our sales team:sales@promise.com , they may help to get this 12G SAS dongle. It's like adapter per drive.

Yes they are 12G SAS drives.  Where can I get this dongle?  Is it one per drive or per chassis or what?  Manual for 



I cannot send the report. It is on a classified system and cannot be removed.

Kindly let us know is that new drives are 12G sas drives? if yes, then are you using 12G SAS dongle board
to connect it with Vtrak Ex830?
