Vess R2000 Series R2600 file access
Roger Barkley posted this 03 June 2024

Forgive my stupidity and am trying to learn without bothering people. I am assuming this is what you mean.

I can add users. I do not quite understand how I can implement a way to access the files or folders to use them.

I have tried reading different threads but cannot find an exact thread for what I am trying to accomplish. I promise I am not completely ignorant .... but this server and system is making me feel less than average. I have it connected to a Dell PowerEdge 270 that I am awaiting the correct pw for in hopes that it may have the software that is used for such. In my thought process (maybe I am thinking wrong) I thought there was a way to access those folders shown in the pictures above. Thanks in advance for any insight given.

SANLink3 Status of SanLink3 T1 with Apple Silicon

Hi Art,

According to Promise compatibility document, all M series macs and OS14.x are compatible.

This is from the SL3-T1 compatibility list.

There is no mention of compatibility with M1 Macs. Is it possibly the compatibility list for the SL3-N1 was seen instead?

I cannot see the SL3 in my network interfaces.

This is because there is no device driver.

Promise, what is the real story?

The SL3-T1 is not compatible with M1 macOS. The SL3-N1 is compatible with M1 macOS, the driver is part of the OS.

Best guess is that there has been some confusion between the SL1-T1 and the SL3-N1.
