Pegasus3 Expand Pegasus3 r4 storage
Frank Bosma posted this 3 weeks ago

Can you clarify if there is (was) any data on the logical drive when you expanded the disk capacity ?
Since the event log shows below and I see no events related to a rebuild of any of the existing disks to the larger ones:

If no data needs to be saved then you should be able to clear the pfa state of the disks in the utility.
This can also be done in cli:
- open terminal
- type: promiseutilpro
- type: phydrv -a clear -t pfa -p 1
- type: phydrv -a clear -t pfa -p 2
- type: phydrv -a clear -t pfa -p 3
- type: phydrv -a clear -t pfa -p 4
- type: exit

Now you can re-create the disk array and logical drive in the utility dashboard.

SmartStor NS4600 - Unknown IP Address
Terry Dunbar posted this 4 weeks ago

Thanks for responding,

The problem is not that SmartNAVI gives an IP address that I don't recognize; it actually states the proper device name, ns4600-...,followed by "unknown" as the IP address (see last line of the SmartNAVI display below):

  • ns4600-623118 - unknown

I have rebooted manually several times including disconnecting the power cord. I have even searched the IP addresses from the list of active devices attached to my router
