Have a very OLD Windows 2003 install with a SX4300. Had a RAID 1 and one drive has failed. Want to copy the remaining one to a non RAID SSD drive.

Before you ask - keeping server alive because it has some super old propriatary fat client apps that a client of mine still uses. Got this thing behind a dedicated software firerwall in addition to our network firewall. Should just make it into a VM.

TX4310 RAID卡的莫名問題

技術支援好！

壹塊FastTrak TX4310 RAID卡，接了兩塊希捷1T硬碟。每當開機冷啟動後RAID卡找不到硬碟，提示“warning - something wrong with your hardware！”。只有當重新按Ctrl+Alt+Del進行熱啟動後才能順利找到硬碟。卡的bios已升級到2.8.1.0004。不知何故？

Promise FastTrak TX2200 - 2300

Hello,

I have a FastTrak TX2200 with 2 HDD. The OS don't start (no error, but frozen on Windows Desktop without icon) with 2 disks or with 1 disk.

2 disks are OK when I use it with a USB adaptator.

How to use 1 disk directly on the STA connector motherboard ?

Also, how to replace my TX2200 by a TX2300 in spare ?

Thanks and best regards.

Fasttrak S150 SX4 rebuild Array

Hi,

I´m planning to help a friend with his PC where one HDD died. On every boot FastTrak S150 SX4 complains about the failed RAID 1 array. Unfortunately there is not much time for me to change the disc thus I want be prepared what I have to expect.

The disc which failed is on Channel one. I will change it with the same product (Western Digital WD5003ABYX RE4 500GB). My questions are:

After Power OFF > change disc > Power ON

will the raid system automatically start to rebuild the new disc or

do I have to enter the GUI (ctrl+F) to rebuild the array or

do I have to use the windows PAM GUI to force a rebuild?

do I have to format the new HDD,

or will fasttrak format it or

is it correctly formated from the factory.

thanks,

FastTrak100 TX2

Hi! Sorry for my English, I used online translator. I want to ask a question - I got a IDE RAID controller Promise FastTrak100 TX2, and the problem is that I can not find and install the driver for this device. Very long studied the information on the Internet, even signed up here but have not found the right driver (on my computer running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 sp1). Please help if anyone knows what I can do, what would this controller be able to earn in normal mode - please write here or on mail bodnar.denis.1991@gmail.com - I would be very grateful. Thank you for your attention. PS This controller I would like to use to connect IDE drives CD-ROM drives.

fasttrak tx2000 driver issues

I have a fasttrak tx2000 that I was using in a media server. The HDD with the OS died so I replaced it and installed windows XP 64 bit on it. However, I have tried every driver from the website that says it is for windows and none of them work. Windows will see the driver but says it is not the proper driver. Is there a driver that will work with XP 64 bit or do I need to put 32 bit XP on it?

fasttrak tx2200 read only mode?

Hello.

I'm trying to use fasttrak tx2200 om my old asus p5k as a simple sata controller fro my two hdds because native motherboard controller got stuk or damaged. So current config is:

Internal Intel sata controller - not working in either ide or ahci modes;

Internal Jmicron sata controller - ssd with OS win 7 in ahci mode;

Pci fasttrak tx2200 - 2 hdds with files and software.

Os boots from ssd on jmicron, hdds are visible on fasttrak bios (as jbod devices) and after windows driver installed - in os too. But the problem is that one of them works in read only mode. I cannot copy or move any files to any partition of hdd 1, but can do from ssd to hdd2 and vice versa. When I try, I receive windows error "drive is protected". But no windows settings are set to write protect hdd 1. The strangest thing is that this issue present in " normal" windows boot mode, but everything works fine in safe mode. What should I do to make both of my hdds work properly in normal windows mode?

Thanks

FastTRack TX4310 : Wester Digital Red 4To recognised as 1.8To only ?

Hello,

My TX4310 card is working fine for many years with 2x2To RAID1.
The TX4310 BIOS (version 2.8.1.0004) detect my 4x2To Hitachi drives as 2000Go each one.

One of my 2To RAID1 cluster is full. So I need to upgrade it to a larger capacity. Then I decided to upgrate it to 4To. And bought 2x4To Western Digital (Red) drives.

But my TX4310 card detect my 2 new 4To drives as 1800Go drives only.
This capacity is lower than my old 2To drives.

How can I assign the 4To capacity as RAID1 with my TX4310 card ?

I tested my 4To drives with the motherboard and it found around 3800Go as expected.

Best regards
Andea

Doing a antiquated hardware buildup. TX2000's query.

I have 4 FastTrak TX2000 cards. Bios Ver. 2.00.0.28

I've got them in an old P4 2.6 ghz mobo.

Problem is this. No matter what I try I can't get past 10 ide devices.

I can place 8 devices on two cards with the mobo supporting one hdd and one optical.

I can span 8 devices on 4 cards with the mobo doing the aforementioned task.

But nothing I try will allow a ninth device to be recognized on the fasttrak tx2000 array of 4.

Is there a hard limit for desktop mobo's? I have never gone past 7 hdd's and an optical before now.
